If you have ever wandered around a parking lot pressing the lock button on your key fob trying to hear your car honk at you, then you know how frustrating it can be to forget where you parked. Now, you won’t have to worry about that anymore. The myChevrolet smartphone app now comes with a Vehicle Locate feature.
This feature will replace the Family Link function, which did not always work very well. With Vehicle Locate, it can remind you where you parked. It also has an additional feature of boundary alerts. This could be helpful for parents when their teen drivers borrow the family car. The app will send you a notification if your vehicle leaves a certain area.
“At Chevrolet we aim to make our drivers’ lives easier through smart and purposeful technologies,” said Alejandra Gonzalez, product manager of Remote Services for Chevrolet. “Vehicle Locate provides both drivers and their loved ones with peace of mind in a variety of different drive-related scenarios.”
App users can also set up arrival/departure notifications. This could be helpful if you are travelling and you want to let everyone know you have arrived safely. You can add up to 10 people to your notification list, but they must have the myChevrolet app installed.
