Now that spring is here, it is the perfect time to head outside for some fun. There is plenty happening here in Alabama in the near future. Here are some great spring events in Birmingham you should attend.
St. Elias Lebanese Food and Cultural Festival
Celebrating its 18th year, the St. Elias Maronite Church will host its annual Lebanese festival on April 26-27. Come dine on your favorite Lebanese foods like baklava and baked kibbe.
45th Annual Southern Appalachian Dulcimer Festival
Tennehill Ironworks Historical State Park will host this annual festival April 28-May 5. Come listen to musicians from all across the country, and learn how to create and play your own dulcimer.
Homestead Hollow Arts & Crafts Festival
The city of Springville will host this fun festival May 10-12. You can see live demonstrations of wood carving, quality, blacksmithing, and even whiskey-making. There will also be living music and children’s activities going on when you’re not watching craftsman demonstrations.
Do Dah Day Festival
If you love animals, this is the festival for you. It includes a parade of costumed animals and homemade floats down Highland Avenue. Head to Rhodes and Caldwell Parks May 17-18 to join in the fun.
We at Dewey Barber Chevrolet love the Birmingham community and how much fun there is going on every weekend.
